Free DEMO!!
As posted on a list I am on:

Good Day Folks,

On October 14rh I will be teaching TACTICAL S&M at Dominion in Oklahoma City. This is an exciting new course that gives you a different perspective on how to do a scene. A large part of this course was inspired by the play that happened between Gordon and myself.

By special arrangement there is no charge for this course. It is free. Course begins at 3 p.m. at Dominion.

Are you thinking you want to sit home and watch Gilligan’s Island reruns? Going to the store for some TV dinners? Planning to be a Saturday afternoon loaf? Well change those plans and attend Tactical S&M instead. If you only attend one course this year make it this one you want to attend.

TSM is an out of the box, outrageous new approach to doing a scene. It busts some of those myths out there and takes a light-hearted, diverse new stab at making a scene that is more fun, better laid out, and has more depth to it. TSM is fun. You will be engaged and find yourself laughing out loud as you explore your own scene methodology.

Afterwards I will have a couple of tables set up and will be selling Toy’s Toys. Being as there is no DPRC Vendor Faire this year, this is your only opportunity this year to check out our new toys up close and personal.

Additionally – Toy’s Toys has been selected as the US distributor for Remixxed Da’ Phuk Up, by “The Undeniable”. This CD is very much a part of our lifestyle, as is the artist. The music is new, outlandish, and refreshing. This CD will make a great addition to any dungeon collection.

Please plan to attend Tactical S&M on October 14th at 3 p.m. at Dominion.

RSVP to TemptressRage@aol.com offlist please.

REPOST THIS TO ANY LIST POR FAVOR!

Hugz,
Ms TOy

www.toystoysonline.com

also from Temptress Rage:

And and and! Dominion (where this is being held) has decided in honor of this fine event to have an Open House that weekend...this means if you are a first time visitor, we're not only waiving the cost of the demo, but the guest fee for the party that night as well. And we're grilling up dinner between the class and the party, so it's going to be once heck of a good time! Food, cool toys to buy, a great class and a smokin' hot party! What more could you ask for?

Of course, there are some attendance rules that still apply, but you can email me at the email address at the end of the post to find out what those are. :)

Janet Hardy class in OKC at Diverse Paths, Jan
Here's the bio:

Janet Hardy (aka Catherine A. Liszt and Lady Green) is the president
of Greenery Press Inc. Under her various pen names, she is the author
or co-author of ten books on sexuality, polyamory and BDSM, including
"The Ethical Slut," "The New Bottoming Book," "Radical Ecstasy" and
"The Compleat Spanker." Janet is a bisexual, polyamorous,
gender-flexible SM switch who has shared her lifestyle knowledge at
workshops and conferences internationally.

Workshop Descriptions----------------------
Ethical Sluthood
Participants will discuss and complete exercises to explore
lifestyles that go beyond the traditional monogamous model. Can you
maintain supportive relationships in a world where the only sexual
boundaries are the ones you set yourself? How do you feel secure when
your partner has a date (with someone cuter than you)? What is
jealousy, and can it be overcome? Come listen, talk, and learn about
how to build the lifestyle you want.

How To Take More Pain... And Get More Pleasure From It
Are you safewording too soon -- and regretting it later? Do you
hunger to experience that scary territory that lies just beyond your
limits? Janet will discuss and demonstrate techniques for entering
the ecstatic dimension of pain play. Whether you're a fledgling
bottom trying to understand the appeal of pain, an experienced
masochist trying to get more, or a sadist who wants to take your
partners further, this is a don't-miss class for you.

Integrating Pain and Sex
To look at your average kinky porno or SM workshop, you'd assume that
SM was as asexual as floorwax. But in our personal play, most of us
like to combine our SM with some form of genital sex. How do you ramp
up the sensation without losing the turn-on? Can pain be used to
boost orgasm? How do you create a mental state in which pain *is*
pleasure --- and vice versa? Come learn some sexy, nasty tricks and
techniques to bring the bedroom into the dungeon. Privacy level:
Total privacy. This class includes an intense demo.

The Thanksgiving party at Diverse Paths
Yep, as has already been posted it was a nice night.
We had very good food, even if yours truly couldn't eat most of it.
I'm telling ya people its 9 colors, and 4 food groups Meat, Cheese, Potatoes, and Salt.
Everything else is just made up!

The crowd was nice, the place was warm and cozy, I think people kept thinking I was a worrywart because I kept asking about the temp.
But it was my first winter night with several of our newer members and since I'm okay from 50 to 80 I have to watch the rest of you.
But everyone assured me they were comfortable, I almost got lynched when I asked about turning on the big heater in the social area ;)
And Rage and Jason finished the smoking tent in time for the weekend and it turned out very well. Certainly better then smoking on the patio when there is a wind or rain out. The couches found a new home and its well lit too.

Play was nice, though it got pretty weird in the social area.
We played the "out of the room" game a few times last night!

Good to see a couple who hadn't been here lately and I saw a nice waxing too.
If it wasn't for a dog collar I would just call it a sensual restful kind of evening, but someone has to be the exception to the rule.

Look for the latest on our upcoming events!

DP Membership drive
Regarding Membership.

I have had some private questions and want to also answer them on the lists.
Diverse Paths was created in Jan02 to provide a safe place for individuals and groups to come together and build up the Oklahoma community. The goals were pretty lofty and some had to be set aside, pushed back or even changed to adapt and make room for what the current participants wanted.
Members have shaped this place into something few thought was possible here in Oklahoma and the atmosphere of this place is amazing.
That is because of the membership.
Volunteers help keep it running and looking nice and getting better all the time.
Volunteers help us put on classes and even bigger events like this past weekend.
But every single person who is a member or a guest who walks through these doors contributes to the energy and atmosphere that is what really sets the place apart from so many dungeons.

Those who come here to find a one night stand soon find this place is not among the best spots for a quick and easy lay. Those who come looking to stir up trouble or get their Egos stroked and find a following of sycophants find the attitude of real people who do this (and many of them for years) on a regular or even full time basis not conducive and adjust or leave.
Some stir up trouble off the premises of course, because the idea of a place where people don't worship them or bow to every word is threatening.

But the PEOPLE who are interested in being out among kinky and lifestyle friends have found a second home here.
Whether they come to play, watch or just to hang out with friends in an environment where they can be open about this part of their lives those kind of people find this place wonderful and uplifting.
People walk out of DP refreshed and happy and I hope learn something new most of the time.
People make new friends and keep in touch with old ones.

All of that is possible and ONLY possible because of the quality of our membership and the dedication to keeping the space safe and friendly.

Diverse Paths is a private club, both for legal reasons and to protect the quality of our space.
Membership itself is just $20 a month which covers admittance to all the regular parties, that is usually every Saturday and the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month.
Members can bring guests for $10 each, and our munches or classes are good times for that to happen.
The playspace is over 2,000 sq feet and is large enough to have plenty of action, with a large social area and 2 bathrooms beyond that. We even have a covered smoking area for when it rains or just gets chilly.

That is right, membership covers access to a party almost every Saturday of the year and up to 2 Fridays a month.
As membership grows we may open more often and present additional opportunities.
We host groups in the off hours and are available to serve the community in many ways.
We also have great classes and other events, like the upcoming Fetish market in Dec.

DP has been open over 3 years now and as we wind down this year were offering an additional month for those who sign up at the quarterly rate.
Think about that, for just $20 a month you can provide for yourself a place to go out among friends and watch other kinky naked people get beat, set each other on fire, get suspended, dance on their toes or get zapped!
Or of course play with your partner or maybe meet one and use some great equipment in a clean and comfortable space with plenty to watch your actions if your an exhibitionist or play early or late if your shy.
Or if your not in the mood for public play you can just hang out with like minded friends.
Its a safe place to meet a prospective Dom or Sub and a great place to hone your skills and learn new styles.

And all that is just the regular activities which you can get for as little as $3 night!
Additionally of course we have classes and other events and we have them often.

If you haven't joined or maybe let your membership lapse because its easy to put off please think about joining now.
As we grow we just get better, some of or members haven't been here in awhile, though they still pay because they want to know DP will be here for them when life allows. Others just think the concept of a dungeon space in OKC so novel they want to support it and be a part even if they cant get out.
Some members just procrastinate or are waiting till everything is "perfect" or the membership is large enough that the place is always packed, however it only grows with those who do join so there is a time when its self fulfilling.
In joining you help it grow not just by yourself but by encouraging others and helping them get the opportunity a place like DP provides.
Others have put off joining because they do not have a partner to come with, yet if they were regulars here they probably would have solved that by now.
Some see political or personality conflicts in the community and are afraid there would be some here if they walked in. Those need to know we don't like it here and curb it as much as possible and that DP is probably the most drama free space in OKC. It really is what the MEMBERS make of it.
Some don't join because they don't like to play in public, however we have no rule forcing you to play (a few clubs I've been a member of did have that rule but not DP) and it is amazing how empowering it can be to just hang out with friends.

DP is a great place and if you haven't signed up or let your membership lapse then your depriving yourself of something many of us have enjoyed for 3 years!

So sign up now and lets end the year on an even bigger upswing and surge into the New year even stronger !!
Oklahoma deserves it and so do the rest of us!

Tulsa Oklahoman's for Human Rights Buys Permanent Home for Tulsa GLBT Community Center!
An Open Letter to the GLBT & Allied Community
Please Feel Free to Distribute Widely

A dream has come true and history is made! On October 31st, at 4:30 PM, documents were signed finalizing the purchase of our new home! Tulsa now has a permanent site for the Tulsa Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual & Transgender (GLBT) Community Center!
Laura Belmonte, recently elected President of Tulsa Oklahomans for Human Rights (TOHR), signed the documents with 13 commemorative pens. One pen will be for permanent display in the History Project room of the New Center. The remaining will be gifted to current and future donors in the $10,000 and above level.

TOHR's Pyramid Project Steering Committee has worked 5 years to bring the GLBT community to this historic place. At 18,000 square feet, we are now the second largest GLBT Community Center in the Midwest. The historic 2-story brick building, built in the 1930's with a 1-story annex of the 1960's, allows for expanded community programs, larger and more meeting areas for organizations and groups, 4,000 square feet of lease space and a large capacity special events center. Our home will serve as a permanent visible presence now and for generations to come.

The building is an anchor of the growing East Village and Living Arts District of downtown Tulsa. Sitting prominently at the corner of 4th & Kenosha, the permanent Tulsa GLBT Community Center is a gateway to the entire area. If you've not yet seen your new home, please drive by it. It is at 621 East 4th Street. That is 4 blocks West of 4th & Peoria and 3 doors West of Youth Services of Tulsa. Although not quite ready for move-in, a flag raising and house blessing ceremony is planned for Saturday, November 19th at 10:00 AM. We hope to see you there!

After improvements and renovations, the grand opening will be in the Spring of 2006. Most initial expenses are fire safety and ADA compliance items. Please remember, we are still raising the necessary funds to complete this historic move-in. Please visit the website to make a donation or pledge and help us SPRING into our new home for the Community.

Building a Home...Funding the Future

With your continued help, TOHR's Pyramid Project Committee will continue its goal of "Building a Home...Funding the Future".

Thank You,

Laura Belmonte, TOHR President

Sue Welch, Pyramid Project Chair

Greg Gatewood, Center Director

Diverse Paths and Fakir + Cleo Update
Things are starting to gel with regards to the Fakir and Cleo event this next weekend.
I finally made contact with someone in the piercing community with the right connections and energy to start to bring that segment. Then I finally hear back from a news publication that they want to do an interview with me and of course Fakir. Turns out they delayed while checking backgrounds, dont know why people wont just take my word for it when I say its big.

The dungeon is looking hot with all the changes and the smokers will like the new pavilian that rage brought and pretty much all the staff helped put together.
And in the last few weeks while I have made contacts for putting together this event some new people are finding out about Diverse Paths and we have several new opportunities that I hope wil work out.
Finally several members have been bringing in new people, some of whom are staying and DP is better for it.
Just today I made contact with someone who was amazed we have an actual dungeon in OKC.

Now I just have to figure what I am going to say to the media. Think there ready to hear there is a dungeon here?

Fakir and Cleo in OKC
This will be the biggest thing I have ever put on or been involved in.
By bringing these people to Oklahoma i raised the bar yet again and oklahomans and those in neighboring states will get to see something they never would otherwise.
In addition word will go out yet again that Oklahoma is not as succombed to the Bible Thumpers and that BDSM isalive and well here.
Unfortunately i did not get enough people to sign up that I could keep the early discount of $40, I'd have needed over a 100 to pay at that rate. Instead they get a bargain and others pay about as much as they would to see these twp at other venues.
However I insured a rate that was cheaper then anywhere else and not only that but you get more then anywhere else.
Those who attend will bring home something wonderful and I hope impress our presenters with Oklahoma hospitality and enthuiasim.

First Friday reminder...
Just a reminder that the 1st falls smack on a Friday, and as such, tonight is the First Friday munch at Topanga in OKC. Of course, this will be followed by a party at DP. I'm sure most of you are on lists where you get an auto reminder, but just in case someone isn't, just a friendly little reminder. :)

Hope to see lots of you out tonight!

I know most regulars already know ths but every once in awhile the bills and effort at keeping DP open overwhelm me ans this is one of those months.
DP might be having its last party tonight so if you want it to stay come on out and if you just wanted to see what it was like this might be your last chance.

June 18th Seminar at Diverse Paths
Barton’s Bio

Barton is a heterosexual poly male slave owner residing in Lake
Charles, Louisiana. He has actively been a part of the BDSM and M/s
community since 2000. In that time, he has participated in numerous
groups, given dozens of classes throughout the Southeast and attended
many BDSM conferences. Currently he runs a BDSM group in Lake Charles
and a M/s group in Houston. In addition, Barton has established a BDSM
loaner library with over 200 titles in it for his local groups.

Barton’s Fireplay class

FIREPLAY – SOME LIKE IT HOT

The use of fire upon the body and mind is a hot and erotic part of the
BDSM scene. It can build a level of excitement and connection that
isn’t often encountered in other forms of play. This class will cover
all the basics of fireplay as well as some more advanced techniques for
the experienced players. We will discuss why we do fireplay,
equipment, techniques and how to do it safely. You will even learn how
to build your own fire wands. Also a full-blown dramatic fireplay
scene will be given to bring it all together.

(Time permitting, everyone will get a chance to build their own wand
and do a little bit of hands practice.)

Barton’s Internet class

THE POWER OF THE INTERNET

Do those know-it-all online Masters with no offline experience
represent your community? Let’s face it; most people have formed their
first serious opinion about BDSM and leather lifestyles through the
Internet. However, our community would not be what it is today without
this important tool. It is perhaps one of our most potent routes to
power, and yet is potentially the most damaging tool to the leather
community. This seminar will discuss how to minimize the
misinformation, improve vanilla opinion, educate online and offline
communities and fight back against the Internet predators. Whether we
hate or love the Internet, there is much we can do to improve the main
gateway to our community. We might even be lucky enough to meet the
Internet’s most infamous online persona face to face at the
presentation.

Barton’s Top-ography class

TOP-OGRAPHY: EXPLORING INTERNAL ISSUES

We often hear about the inner or spiritual journeys taken by
bottoms/subs/slaves (a.k.a. subspace). But what about the tops? When
engaging in BDSM activities, tops also can have intense experiences,
even spiritual ones. So why do we rarely talk about this important
aspect of ourselves?

This presentation will provide a framework for understanding and
exploring the inner-space of the Top/Dom/Master. Through discussing
this "top-ography" we come a little closer to understanding it. Tops
and switches in the audience will gain new ideas and concepts for
understanding themselves. Through this added self-awareness can come
increased personal growth and power. Bottoms are welcome to attend.
They will gain a better understanding and appreciation of what the
other side goes through.

May Seminars Report
Well the seminars by Master Jim, slave marsha and man in service ryan are over.
I was very happy with the feedback and think several came away with stuff they can use in thier relationships.
The party was also great and we had some nice variety of play going on and people trying some new things.
I was hoping to play but it didnt work out, be a few more weeks I guess.

Also made some progress on the Fakir and Cleo seminars for Oct and several preregistrations which will help with some of the advertising costs.
